Ok, so let's talk about this for a second.
I saw a few mini reviews on this from Nicole Guerriero on YouTube and also someone on Tumblr.
I have visible pores on my cheeks around my nose and I always try to use a primer to help minimize their appearance. This claims to do that.
One of the reasons I've been hesitant to purchase this is because in my opinion, L'OREAL is a drugstore brand and I cannot for the life of me understand why this product would cost me $25. So I waited. And waited. And waited some more. I wasn't in any rush since I just purchased another Benefit POREfessional primer and was doing pretty well with that.
But one afternoon I went into CVS and this was on sale. Not a huge sale but was $5 off. Since I was actually in a position to splurge that day, I got it.
This "finishing cream" or balm, as I like to call it, claims to make your skin instantly smoother and minimize the look of fine lines, pores and wrinkles.
I can say that it does everything that it claims. As you know my by know my skin is a bit oily and I like anything that's going to minimize my pores and help keep my oil under control. I tried this out for a few days and it helped both pretty well. I only had to blot once throughout the 5+ hours that I wore my makeup and if I didn't blot I could have gotten away with it. I just had a dewy glow. Not a grease ball face.
The consistency of this is really thick. I mean really thick. That's why I consider it a balm more than a cream. In my opinion a cream should be creamy and easy to blend. I found myself having to work in small areas at a time. One cheek first, then the other, then my forehead, etc. Once you get it all blended it does make your skin look really good though. And it made applying my makeup effortless. It just blended perfectly without much work.
If you're on the market for a new primer and want something thicker that's going to stick to your face I definitely recommend this. Just wait until it's on sale. :)
Have any of you tried this?
